Dawn's Desire existiert seit 2005 als Soloprojekt von Bettina Jawneh alias bb. cheerful, ehemalige Sängerin der Berner/Zürcher Band Cheap & Cheerful.
Die Musik besteht im Kern aus repetitiven und einprägsamen Textzeilen und dem eindringlichen, rauhen Gesang, getragen von simplen Melodien - entweder von Gitarre oder Synthesizer.
Die Lieder arbeiten mit der Einfachheit aber Treffsicherheit des Blues und runden mit elektronischen und akustischen Elementen das Klangbild ab.
Das Ganze lebt von einer emotionalen Atmosphäre, die erschaffen wird, sobald der erste Ton erklingt.
